This summer I made it my mission to find the perfect bronze cream eyeshadow. I already had Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze, but to me this shade leans more taupe than bronze, a color I prefer using in fall and winter rather than the warmer months.
Next I tried NYX’s Jumbo Eye Pencil in Gold, which was a disappointment as it was a bit too sparkly for my taste and creased even with the help of a primer. I also picked up Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze because I just needed it after seeing a photo from the Nude Beach campaign. Although I do quite like this one and it is very long lasting, it still was not that perfect bronze shade I was searching for (I know, I’m nuts).
One day when I was perusing my local Ulta, I came across a product I had not seen before from Rimmel London – Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick/Crayon. To my delight, one of the shades I reached for was Bad Girl Bronze. The bronze of my dreams. When I got home I took off the eyeshadow I was already wearing, drew Bad Girl Bronze on my lids straight from the pencil, and blended with my MAC 217 brush. TA DA! Bad Girl Bronze is the deep bronze shade I had in mind plus, it never creases and really lives up to its long-wearing claim (read: will not come off without eye makeup remover). Added bonus? Run, do not walk to your local drugstore to pick this beauty up for only $4.49!
