Battle of the Nudes

battle-of-the-nudes

My go-to look has always been a nude or light pink lip paired with a smokey brown eye. And although I do like wearing a bold red or berry lip once in a while, nine times out of ten I find myself reaching for my nudes.

Without further adieu, here are five of my favorite nude lipsticks that won’t make you look like you’re an extra on The Walking Dead.

Rimmel Nude Delight: This is the lightest nude shade I own. Even though it is rather light, its warm peachy undertones ensure that it won’t wash you out or give you a concealer lip look. It’s also super creamy, moisturizing and long-lasting!

L’Oreal Fairest Nude: This is a nude-beige shade that has more brown undertones rather than peach or pink. I think this shade is a little too deep for the Spring and Summer months, however, it is a staple in my handbag throughout the Fall and Winter.

NYX Pumpkin Pie: I love this peachy nude, and am so glad that I randomly picked it up during one of my trips to Ulta. It glides on the lips and feels the smoothest out of the other two drug store nudes. Also, you just can’t beat the $3.99 price tag!

Mac Shy Girl: This is my holy-grail peachy nude, I reach for this shade more than any other lipstick I own. To me, this is the perfect shiny, creamy peachy nude that looks amazing with any type of look you’re going for. Mac’s Cremesheen formula is so silky and moisturizing, and I love the slightly sweet scent of Mac’s lip products!

Dior Spring Ball Addict Lipstick: This is a great light pinky-peachy nude that I love for summertime. The formula is creamy and has a beautiful glossy finish. Although I really like this lipstick, I wish it were more long lasting (and the price is a bit steep!).
