No Brushes Required: Natural Bronzed Glow

Image

Some days I’m all for spending time doing my makeup, layering shadows, contouring, blushing, highlighting…etc. Other days, I want to look natural and polished in 5 minutes or less. I’ve also been loving applying my makeup sans brushes to achieve a more natural look, and these products are perfect for doing just that.

For this particular look I wanted to create something summery and bronzy, using similar shades on the eyes, lips and cheeks. Using similar tones all over the face is a great way to create a natural yet sophisticated makeup feel.

Here’s how to achieve this super easy look:

I began by applying a light layer of Revlon Photoready BB Cream to my face, concentrating mainly on my t-zone to get rid of any redness. Next, I took my Nars Laguna Illuminator (this stuff blends into the skin like a dream), and patted it onto my cheeks and temples using my fingertips. That’s the base done!

Moving onto the eyes… I took Bobbi Brown’s Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Bronze and applied it to my lids and a bit on my lower lash line straight from the tube, and blended it in with fingertips. A couple coats of Maybelline’s The Rocket mascara, and that’s it for the eyes.

Lastly, I applied my new favorite nude gloss to my lips – Aerin’s Lip Gloss in Sweet Pea. This is such a great nude shade, not too light and not too dark. It also has a lovely floral scent!

And there you have it! Have you been taking the brushes out of your makeup routine lately?

I usually always apply concealer, foundations and creams with my fingers. It’s nice not to use a brush sometimes. Quick, fast and easy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment! I really love applying foundation with my fingers as well. If you want to switch it up every now and then, definitely check out Real Techniques’ Expert Face Brush. It is hands down the best foundation brush I have ever used!

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

I LOVE Maybelline’s The Rocket mascara! I used to be a lover of Maybelline’s The Falsies, but I found that it would sometimes cause my lashes to clump together. I have never experienced clumping with the Rocket!
