The Quick Review: Jo Malone Perfume

I love perfume, and one of my all-time favorites is Black Orchid by Tom Ford. I love everything about it, but I think it is a bit too strong for Summer. I had heard a lot about Jo Malone and so I figured it was worth stopping by the counter at my local Bloomingdales.

I have never had a better fragrance-shopping experience; the woman who helped me spent so much time making sure I chose something I loved. The hard part was, I loved so many of the scents! I wound up taking a large bottle of Nectarine Blossom & Honey and a small bottle of Blue Agava & Cacao. The former is perfect for the warmer months, light, a bit sweet and citrus-y. The latter is really something special – I’ve never smelled anything quite like it. I’m awful at describing fragrances, so I’ll leave you with the descriptions:

Nectarine Blossom & Honey: A youthful and fruity fragrance, Nectarine Blossom & Honey is inspired by the delicious scent of just-ripening nectarines and a taste of refreshing peach sorbet. Mouthwatering nectarine and peach with hints of plum, blackcurrant and vetiver are combined with the sweet warmth of acacia honey in this truly seductive combination.

Blue Agava & Cacao: Inspired by the rhythm and vibrancy of Latin music, a sparkling citrus melody of lime and grapefruit leads to an exquisite heart of the blue agava flower. A sensual blend of vetiver, cinnamon and the primitive rawness of cacao, make an unexpected and surprising harmony.

I don’t own anything from Jo Malone, but a friend of mine owns Tom Ford Cologne. It has more of a woodsy smell to it so I feel it is beautiful for Fall and Spring. Maybe I will try to check Jo Malone out as well.

I only own two Jo Malone fragrances: Wild Bluebell and Earl Grey & Cucumber. I love it.
