Holy Grail Eyeshadow Palette

I have mentioned my love for all things Tom Ford in a few posts, but this gorgeous palette in Cognac Sable really takes the cake. I know that it is crazy expensive, but I really think that it is worth it. Each of the four shadows in the palette is much larger than the individual shadows in other palettes (much larger than say the naked palette), and the quality is outstanding (read: extremely finely milled, buttery, no fall-out, long lasting…I could go on and on).

I have had this palette for over a year and I still reach for it all the time, whereas with a lot of other shadow palettes I find that I’ll use it for a few months, store it somewhere, and then forget about it. I’ll put it this way,  if I could only use one eyeshadow palette for the rest of my life, I would be very happy with Cognac Sable.

As for the colors in this palette, I think that the bronze, gold and brown shades suit all eye colors beautifully. The shades are also very wearable for day, and can easily be amped up for a night out. My go-to look for this palette is to take the medium brown shade and apply it all over the lid, take the light gold shade in my inner corners, and smudge the deep brown shade at the upper and lower lash lines. For evening, I love to take the bronze glitter shadow and apply just a touch to the center of my lids.

I know that you are partially paying for the name and packaging when it comes to high end makeup products, but I think that Tom Ford’s products are really superior to that of Chanel, Burberry, and most other high end lines. I am also a huge fan of the large mirror within the palette as well as the magnetic closure.

Now that I’ve rambled on for ages… do you own any Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes?
