Nude Eyes and Glossy Lips from the Drug Store

Since back-to-school is here I wanted to put together an eye and lip pairing that is perfect for everyday wear and natural enough so that you don’t look like you’re headed to the club while sitting in a classroom. I hope you enjoy!

For eyes I knew I wanted to pick up one of the Physicians Formula eye palettes since I have read so much about them and rarely look around the display when I visit the drug store. I went for the Warm Nude shades because to me, this is the palette that looked most similar to the original Urban Decay Naked Palette. I love the quality of these shadows, they are super soft, pigmented, and not the least bit chalky.

For a quick and easy eye look I took the shimmery champagne shade that is smack in the middle, washed it all over the lid, and then mixed the two darkest shades and smudged them at the upper lash line. Add a couple coats of your favorite black mascara and you’re good to go!

As for lips, I wanted to go for something natural, sheer and glossy. L’Oreal Colour Riche leGloss in Nude Illusion is perfect for achieving this lip look. It imparts beautiful shine with a hint of shimmer without being tacky or sticky. This gloss also smells like cake batter and is very moisturizing – a winning combination for me!

Have you tried either of these products? Let me know what you think!

Thank you! I really need to check out more products by Physicians Formula. The only other thing I own from the brand is the BB powder and I love it!

I like their powders too! I haven’t tried the BB powder though. I use the mineral face powder in the pressed form! It’s good stuff!
