Recently, I came across Lisa Eldridge’s tutorial of the makeup she did on Rosie Huntington Whiteley for the cover of US Glamour. Once I saw the photo of Rosie (and realized I own similar products to the ones Lisa used in the drug store tutorial) I knew I wanted to recreate the look. This look features a classically gorgeous smokey eye and natural lip, and can be amped up for night time or pared down for day. Here are the products I used:
Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Palette: Lisa used an eyeshadow trio by Rimmel in her tutorial, but I figured this Bobbi Brown palette would do the trick since it contains a similar brown shade to the one used in the video. I began by taking the shimmery shade from the palette across my whole lid, and then mixing the darkest shade with my gel liner to create a deeper, long-lasting contour in the outer v.
Revlon Gel Liner in black: I drew a thin line with this gel liner right at the lash line, and as stated above mixed it with a brown shadow in the crease.
Maybelline the Rocket Mascara: As always, I applied multiple coats to my top and bottom lashes.
Jouer Sunswept Mattifying Bronzer: I used a large blush brush to apply this under my cheek bones and on my temples.
Nars Deep Throat Blush: I applied a small amount of this (as it is very pigmented) to the apples of my cheeks.
Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle: I applied this beautiful pinky brown lip color to my lips straight from the tube. I was so happy to see that I owned the same shade Lisa used in the video!
Would you recreate this classic look?
