The Look: Sunday Brunch

When I think of brunch I picture gorgeous New York City restaurants filled with the scents of fresh fruit, flowers and just off the griddle pancakes. I also picture small groups of polished 20-somethings  sipping on mimosas and cappuccinos. I imagine their makeup as resembling Audrey Hepburn’s in Breakfast At Tiffany’s – perfectly defined eyes and natural nude lips. Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!

Eyes: I started by applying the brown shimmery shade from the Dior 3 Couleurs Smoky Eyes Palette in Smoky Nude and sweeping it over my lids up to the crease. I then took the matte brown shade and applied this in the crease using a wind screen wiper motion. I popped a tiny amount of the light shimmery shade in my inner corners, and then drew a thin line of Maybelline Gel Liner on the upper lash line. To finish off the eye look, I applied Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara in Black on my top and bottom lashes.

Cheeks: To achieve a natural, flushed-from-within look I applied a tiny amount of NYX Cream Blush in Natural to the applies of my cheeks and blended upward.

Lips: For a gorgeous nude pout I applied Sisley Phyto Gloss in Nude over bare lips. This is the priciest gloss I own and it was definitely a treat to myself after lusting after it for about a year. For a drugstore option I would suggest Maybelline Color Sensational High Shine Lip Gloss in Almond Crush.

Love the end result! That mascara is a God send, and your whole tone looks nice and warm. Good call 🙂
