Last year, after having read a review of an eyeshadow on one of my favorite blogs, Into The Gloss, I almost immediately ran out and bought it. This eyeshadow being Bordeaux Amethyst by Clea de Peau, a beautiful deep purple that has an incredibly silky smooth texture.
I just recently brought this beauty back onto my top shelf and I have been loving washing it over my lids and smoking it out with quite a thick line at my lower lashes. This look is so easy and quick to achieve – all I do is use my finger to sweep it over my lids to create a haze of color. This shade was limited edition, however you may be able to scoop it up at some Clea de Peau counters. NYX Red Bean Pie is a great drugstore alternative.
I like to keep the rest of my makeup pretty natural when I use this shadow, so a bit of mascara, bronzer and a slick of nude lipstick (my choice with this look is Kevyn Aucoin’s Thelmadora) will do the trick.
What are your thoughts on purple or berry shadows?
