The Look: Girls Night Out

the-look:girls-night-out

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I went out for a friend’s birthday last night, and I wanted to create a pretty, girly makeup with a bronze smokey eye. I really liked how the whole look came out, which is why I want to share it with you today! Here’s what I did:

Face: I started off my buffing Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation in Classic Ivory into my skin. This shade matches perfectly with my skin tone, and the finish is absolutely flawless. I then took a bit of Physician’s Formula Conceal Rx and applied this underneath my eyes and anywhere else I needed a bit of extra coverage with my fingertips. I finished my base with my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder.

Eyes: I began my applying Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lids and a bit onto my lower lash line. Before applying shadow, I lined my upper lash line with my Revlon Colorstay Liquid Eye Pen, adding a small flick at the outer corners. I then took the lightest shade from my Tom Ford Cognac Sable palette and applied this all over my lids (a bit past the crease) and onto my inner corners with a MAC 217 brush. Next, I took the medium bronze shade and applied this to my lids and on my lower lash line, building the color slowly. To define my eyes a bit more I took the darkest shade and applied it to my upper lash line, in the crease, and onto the outer half of my lower lash line. For an even more dramatic effect I took the bronze glitter shadow and dabbed this onto the center of my lids using a fingertip. To complete the eye look I applied several coats of Maybelline The Rocket mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

Cheeks: As usual I applied my Jouer Sunswept bronzer underneath my cheek bones and onto my temples with a fluffy brush. For a pretty pop of pink I applied Bobbi Brown’s blush in Pastel Pink onto the apples of my cheeks.

Lips: I first applied Revlon’s Lip Butter in Pink Truffle onto my lips, and then sheered it out by blending the color with my fingertip. Finally, I applied Sisley Phyto Gloss in Nude over top of the lip butter for a pretty, glossy finish.
