The Quick Review: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation

the-quick-review-rimmel-match-perfection-foundation

Guys…I can stop looking. I have found the one. And by “the one,” I mean the most perfect foundation for my combination skin. And not just out of the choices at the drugstore – I mean out of any foundation I have ever used!

Rimmel’s Match Perfection foundation claims to be a “match so perfect, it’s undetectable in any light!” And this couldn’t be more true. Classic Ivory blends into my skin seamlessly and creates a flawless finish – covering any imperfections, red spots, etc, while still looking natural. It also claims to last all day, which it does. With other foundations I usually have to touch up or powder at least three times while I’m at school from 8am-8pm. Not with this beauty! Over this past week I found myself reaching for my Rimmel Stay Matte powder only once throughout the day

Lastly, I have to mention the price – at $5.99 this foundation is such a steal – even compared to other drugstore foundations; Revlon’s Colorstay costs upwards of $11, and made me break out pretty badly.

Please let me know if you have tried this foundation and whether or not you share my opinion of it!

Does this come in darker shades so I can purchase one too?

I found this recently and used it for the first time in my first makeup video and I am like you. THIS IS IT! Price, performance, coverage. It’s the go-to for me. Can’t complain! I’m glad it works for you too!! ~ Lauren

I’ve seen this a few times in the drugstore, but I haven’t picked it up yet. I might just have to get them then!

I think you should! Especially since you cannot beat the price. x

Is it quite a high coverage? I’ve walked past this foundation so many times and it’s price put me off, sometimes things can be too cheap to be good :p

I would say it provides medium coverage that is buildable. I think you should give it a try! I think the finish it gives is lovely – I have always loved high end foundations (giorgio armani, laura mercier, bobbi brown) and I think that the quality of this foundation is right up there with them!

My old foundation (Barely (Nearly?) Naked I think it’s called) finally ran out and this one was up to bat next. I have to say I noticed the smell immediately. It’s actually nice. The next thing I noticed was how ‘soft’ if was when I was putting it on. Soft and smooth I guess is a way to describe it? Light even? Idk but all I know is I love it! Thanks for the tip!
