I thought it would be appropriate to post a Victoria’s Secret makeup look being that the company’s annual fashion show was last night. I looked at many photos from the show last night, and all of the models looked gorgeous with brown smokey eyes, peachy-pink cheeks and nude lips. I attempted to replicate the look using some of the VS makeup products I already own. I hope you enjoy!
Eyes: I started by lining my upper lash line with the VS eyeliner in Dark Chocolate, a deep brown shade with a bit of shimmer running through it. Then, using the VS eyeshadow quad in Eye Contact, I first mixed the two golden shimmery shades and applied the shadow onto my lids, up to the crease. Next I took the darkest shade in the palette and applied this in a banana shape in my crease, and also smudged it over the eyeliner as well as on my lower lash line. For a wide-eyed effect I took the lightest shade and applied this to the inner corners of my eyes. To complete the eye look I added multiple coats of Maybelline’s the Rocket mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
Cheeks: To add a shimmery glow to the cheeks I mixed the two shades in the VS Luminous Mineral Blush Duo in Starlet and applied this to the apples of my cheeks, blending upward (I had read that this is the same blush that was used on the girls for last year’s show).
Lips: I first prepped my lips with Dior Creme de Rose Soothing Plumping Lip Balm to ensure that my lipstick wouldn’t settle into any of the fine lines in my lips. In all of the photos I looked at the models’ looked like they had a creamy nude lipstick on (I read that the makeup artist used VS lipstick in Flawless), so I decided to go with my beloved L’Oreal Fairest Nude lipstick.
