Holiday Series: New Year’s Eve Party

If there is one night out of the entire year where I think you should pull out all the stops and really go for it in the makeup, hair and outfit departments – New Year’s Eve is it. It’s the night to experiment with that wildly bright lipstick shade, or put on your mini, sequin dress that you’ve been saving to wear for a special occasion. For this New Year’s Eve party makeup look I decided to go with a dramatic dark smokey eye paired with a shimmering light peachy-pink gloss. Here are the products I used – I hope you enjoy!

Face: Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation – applied with fingertips; Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – applied underneath my eyes and on blemishes; Rimmel Stay Matte Powder – applied to my t-zone.

Eyes: Chanel Illusion d’Ombre in Mirifique – I patted this long-wearing cream shadow onto my lids with fingertips. This product will not budge once you put it on – perfect for a long night of partying! I blended it a bit up into the crease with a crease brush by Ulta Professional. I also smudged this black sparkle shadow onto my lower lash line with a dense smudge brush; Jouer Powder Eyeshadow in Licorice – I used a small amount of this to blend out the edges of the cream shadow in my crease and outer-v; Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner – I used this pencil to tight line my eyes, as well as applied it to my waterline for an even more dramatic smokey effect; L’Oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara – I applied several coats to my upper lashes and one coat to my lower lashes.

Cheeks: Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso – applied to the apples of my cheeks.

Lips: Nars Lip Gloss in Super Orgasm.

What’s your favorite party makeup?
