I’m back for a second post today to share a simple makeup look that requires minimal products. Even though I’m not going anywhere today, I couldn’t wait to use a couple of the Nyx products that I purchased from the brand during their Cyber Monday sale – the HD Studio Grinding Blush in Apricot, and Jumbo Eye Pencil in French Fries. Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!
Face: I applied my Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation with fingertips, and then concealed underneath my eyes with my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. To set these products I applied a small amount of Rimmel Stay Matte Powder to my t-zone.
Eyes: I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion, and then lined my upper and lower lash lines with Victoria’s Secret Eye Pencil in Dark Chocolate. I also scribbled this pencil in the outer-v, and then blended the liner with a Mac 217 brush. To add a bit more color to the center of my lids I applied the Jumbo Pencil in French Fries and then blended this into the liner with the same brush. For a glowing, wide-eyed look I applied Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt to the inner corners of my eyes, as well as to my brow bone. To finish the eyes I applied several coats of L’Oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara.
Cheeks: When applying the Nyx HD Studio Grinding Blush in Apricot, a little goes a long way! I picked up the smallest amount of this pink-coral blush with my brush and swept it on the apples of my cheeks, blending upwards. To add a pretty highlight I got a bit of the Jumbo Pencil in Yogurt on my fingertip, and then patted it onto my cheekbones.
Lips: For an easy nude pout I applied Victoria’s Secret Sheer Drama Hydrating Lipstick in Entice. This shade is a beautiful sheer, deeper nude that won’t wash you out. Also, the formula of these lipsticks is incredibly moisturizing so you won’t need to apply a balm prior to applying the lip color!
