I’ll admit it . . . I am addicted to Pretty Little Liars. So when I asked on Twitter if anyone had a celebrity look in mind that they wanted me to recreate, I was happy when @PeakVolume mentioned Troian, aka Spencer. What makes me feel better about being 26 and watching a show about teens is that a lot of the characters, including Troian, are in fact older than I am and are playing high school students!
Another reason I was excited to do this look is that out of the four girls, Spencer is my favorite on the show; she is smart, witty and naturally beautiful. Her makeup look on the show usually incorporates brown liner or a bit of medium brown shadow, natural rosy cheeks and a natural tint or pale gloss on the lips. For this post I wanted to attempt one of her smokier looks, and so I found this photo to take inspiration from.
Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!
Face: Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation – I only used a small amount and blended with fingertips since Troian is never wearing heavy foundation; Maybelline Fit Me Concealer; Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.
Eyes: Urban Decay Naked2 Palette – I applied Foxy all over the lid up to the brown bone and on the inner corners, and then applied Tease to my crease in a wind-screen wiper motion from the outer to inner corners of my eyes. To line my eyes I applied Tease to my lower lash line, and took Blackout on my upper lash line, winging the line out at the outer corners of my eyes. To further define my lower lash line I applied a very thin line of Giorgio Armani Silk Eye Pencil in no. 12 right beneath my lower lashes. Going back to the Naked2 palette, to smoke out my crease even further I took a very small amount of Blackout and applied this to the outer-v of my eyes. To complete the eye look I applied two coats of Maybelline the Falsies to my upper lashes and one coat to my lower lashes.
Cheeks: Jouer Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept – I applied this bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks as well as on my temples; Nyx Powder Blush in Mauve – I applied a small amount of this pale mauve-pink blush to the apples of my cheeks.
