For the second post in my Valentine’s Day series I bring you a makeup look that is appropriate for a day date – whether it be a brunch or picnic in the park. It incorporates a neutral yet defined eye a pretty pops of pink on the cheeks and lips.
Here’s what I did, I hope you enjoy!
Face: I mixed a drop of Revlon Photoready Skinlights in Pink Light with my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation and applied this to my face with fingertips. To conceal underneath my eyes I applied Rande James Concealer* in Neutral Medium. Lastly, to ensure that my face will stay shine-free I applied Rimmel Stay Matte Powder through the center of my face.
Eyes: I first primed my eyes using Urban Decay’s Primer Potion, and then applied Rande James Super Silky Eyeshadow in Clay* all over my lids, blending through the crease. This golden brown-olive shadow is perfect for daytime because although it is neutral, it has prismatic qualities that make the shade look slightly different depending on the light [and makes eyes sparkle!] I applied a thin line of Mac’s Teddy Eye Kohl on the upper lash line and used Le Metier de Beaute’s Dualistic Eye Pencil in Tamarack on my water line for added definition. I applied a bit more of the Clay shadow to my lower lash line to smoke out the eye pencil. To complete the eye look I applied two coats of Maybelline The Falsie’s Mascara to top and bottom lashes.
Cheeks: I applied Jouer’s Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept underneath my cheekbones and through my temples to warm up my face, and then swept what was left on the brush across my forehead, nose and chin. For a peachy-pink cheek I applied Nyx Powder Blush in Summer Peach, concentrating the color on the apples of my cheeks. To highlight I applied a small amount of Jouer’s Highlighter in Tiare on my cheekbones.
Lips: For a pretty pink kissable pout I applied Jouer’s Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Peony.
