Sunday Style: Black + White

Happy Sunday! Today I bring you guys an outfit that is comfortable yet versatile – perfect for a lazy Sunday spent on the couch, or a day of shopping in the city. There is a lot of black, white and grey going on, which is why I incorporated a couple pops of color to liven things up.

I got this great, affordable cotton tank from Ann Taylor Loft. It is perfect for throwing on under a sweater or cardigan, and is super flattering due to its length and slim-fit. This drapey cardigan, also from Loft, is lightweight and really comfortable to wear. For bottoms I have been loving these Hue Ponte Legging Pants that I picked up at South Moon Under. These pants are just as comfortable as leggings but look less casual because of the quality of the fabric and details like back pockets. To keep warm I went with this black and white scarf from JCrew and grey cashmere beanie [that I stole from the fiance].

To add a couple pops of color I incorporated these blue-turquoise teardrop earrings from Francesca’s Collections – you can’t beat the price and I think that they pair beautifully with any outfit – whether it be a t-shirt and jeans or a black bodycon dress. The handbag is the Celine Trio Bag in Red, which fits a decent amount even though it is pretty small in size. If you’re in the market for a bold colored bag I definitely recommend going with red – it is a classic shade that is appropriate for all seasons.

For makeup I went with an easy smokey eye using the shades Naked, Half Baked, Smog and Darkhorse from the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I applied Naked and Half Baked all over the lids, and then blended a mixture of Smog and Darkhorse through the crease. I then smudged Darkhorse on the upper and lower lash lines to add definition. On the lips I went with one of my all-time favorite lip glosses, Mac’s Plushglass in Posh It Up, a gorgeous sheer, pink-gold.
