Weekend Happenings

I hope that you all have had a great weekend thus far! Mine has been filled with messy yet delicious homemade pizza, flowers, tasty treats and a quick road trip. Instead of the usual makeup post, I figured I would share some photos from the past couple of days with you – let me know if you would like to see more of these types of posts!

Before Jake left for work yesterday he very sneakily left a boxed cronut hanging on our front door, waiting for me when I got back from the gym. He truly knows the way to my heart.

A few hours later, these beauties were waiting for me downstairs.

I know what you’re thinking – “what in the world is that mess?!” I’ll tell you – a slice of very homemade, very rustic pizza. We have always loved to cook together, so instead of going out for Valentine’s Day we decided to stay in and make a couple of pizzas. The second pie looked much better – you’ll just have to trust me on this one.

The coats I own just haven’t been cutting it in this bitter, snowy weather, so we decided to make a trip to the Leesburg, VA outlets in search of a warmer winter jacket. The one I picked up was essentially half off of the original price, is crazy warm, and has so many handy compartments on the inside.

While at the outlets we went to Saks Off Fifth, where I found this lip gloss for ONE DOLLAR. That’s right – a single dollar for this gorgeous peachy-pink gloss. The formula of this little beauty feels similarly to that of the Mac Lipglasses; a bit sticky, but long-lasting. I can’t get over how much I adore the color – if Tom Ford’s Lip Shine in Frolic were a gloss, I’d imagine it would look just like this.

The last stop we made today before heading back home was to one of my favorite places near us – the Italian Store. Looking around at all of the Italian wines, cheeses and delicious nutella-filled cookies really reminds me of Florence and the amazing meals I had while studying abroad.

Let me know what you have been up to this weekend in the comments below!
