Spring Blush Picks

After lip gloss, blush is my next favorite beauty product. If you only have a few minutes to get ready before having to run out the door, blush is something that I think you shouldn’t skimp on – it brightens up the entire face and makes you look more fresh and awake. For this spring I’m all about easy, glowing pinks and warm, cream coral blushes. These shades are uber flattering and incredibly easy to wear.

  • Mac Mineralized Blush in Dainty: Dainty is a gorgeous pink with a pearlized finish – perfect for achieving a healthy glow. I think that this shade looks incredible on fairer skin tones, and is the perfect compliment to a smokey eye.
  • Jouer Tint in Poppy: Poppy is a lovely warm coral-pink that I think will look amazing when applied to the apples of the cheeks after a day at the beach. The formula blends seamlessly onto the skin to achieve a warm pop of color.
  • Le Metier de Beaute Creme Fresh Tint for Lip and Cheek in Coral Nymph: the award for best cream blush has to go to Le Metier – the formula melts into skin leaving the most beautiful, natural color that appears to be coming from within. Coral Nymph is my go-to blush from this line, as it is the perfect peachy coral to wear with any look.
  • Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Radiant Magenta: for a brighter, warmer pink glow, Radiant Magenta is where it’s at. This shade has less shimmer than Dainty, but the glow it provides to the cheeks is just as pretty.

What are your go-to blushes for spring and summer?

Hi Sarah! Can you tell me if the Hourglass blush is very pigmented or does it just add a hint of colour to the cheeks? Thanks 🙂

Hi Caryl! It really depends how you apply the blush – you can pick up a small amount with a brush and blend it out for a soft application, or build the color up for a stronger pink flush.

Radiant Magenta is gorgeous. I’ve picked up Mood Exposure but the colour is a bit warm for me. I will probably exchange it for Radiant Magenta! 🙂

The Hourglass one looks very pretty! I’m so sad that in Europe it’s really hard to find this brand 🙁
