Warm Weather Fragrances for Day [and Night]

I love my Tom Ford Black Orchid, I really do, but it just seems a bit too dark to wear in the spring and summer [if that makes any sense]. When it’s warm out I reach for fruity, floral fragrances, my favorite of which being Jo Malone London Nectarine Blossom & Honey. This fragrance is so wonderfully light and fresh [not too sweet], and really perks me up when I spray it on.

Another reason I love Jo Malone colognes [accidental rhyme!] is that you can wear one by itself, or you can create a unique, signature scent by layering two or three. My personal favorite combination is to first apply Orange Blossom Hand and Body Lotion to the skin, then spray Vanilla & Anise overtop, and finally, finish with a light spritz of Nectarine Blossom & Honey. The mixture creates the most intoxicatingly delicious scent ever – the perfect combination of sweet, fruity and floral [really – no exaggeration – try it!].

To spice things up on a summer evening, you must try Blue Agava & Cacao. This fragrance is like nothing I have ever tried before, and is a stand-out scent all on its own. Warm, romantic, with a hint of cocoa is how I would describe it, but I’m not the best at describing fragrances so I’ll leave you with the official description: “The rhythm of Latin music — sexy, edgy and persuasive. Fresh limes and zesty grapefruit dance over a heart of blue agava flower. Sea salt cuts through the primitive rawness of cacao to reveal the sensuality of vetiver, cinnamon and musk.”

Have you tried one of these exquisite colognes?

I’ve always wanted to try some Jo Malone fragrances but there are so many to choose from, I don’t know which to get. I think I’ll definitely check out your recommended favorite. I’m in need of a new fragrance to get myself in the mood for spring.
