Happy Saturday! I hope you guys are having a great weekend thus far; I am spending mine in Virginia Beach [where I lived for a year] and it’s so nice to see familiar places and go to a few of my all-time favorite restaurants [if you live in the area – Doc Taylor’s for Breakfast and Terrapin for dinner – both are musts]. Ok, back to what this post is all about – the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. I remember seeing the display in my local CVS when the line first launched; I decided on Pink Cognito because it looked like a perfect pinky-nude, which it is. Since then I have purchased two additional shades in the pink family, and cannot tell you how much I love all three of them.
These lipsticks are such high quality for such a great price, and I love how vast the shade selection is – there is a nude, pink, coral, red – you name it – for everyone. The formula is one of the best at the drugstore, it goes on smoothly, is very comfortable and light-weight, and stays put for hours without drying out my lips.
Demure (top) and Pink Cognito (middle) both provide a lovely shine to the lips because of the very fine shimmer that runs throughout each shade, while Pink In The Afternoon (bottom) is shimmer free and provides a very sophisticated, creamy finish. They are all great, year-round colors that are perfect for everyday, especially if you’re going for a soft, no-makeup makeup and want a little bit of color on your lips.
Now, excuse me while I run out to get a few more colors – Lovers Coral and Coralberry, I’m looking at you!
