I have always taken good care of my hair, especially since I have been getting it highlighted for about 10 years now. I have always gone to the same colorist, except for a few times when I had moved away from my hometown a few years ago in order to live with my fiance. I gave my new salon the exact formula that my colorist had used, but something went wrong [I’m thinking the bleach was left on for too long] and over the next few weeks, my hair started to fall out when I would blow dry it, and it became increasingly more difficult to brush.
It has been a long road of recovery for my hair; I had to cut off about five inches last year because the ends were so badly damaged. It was traumatic to say the least. Along with the many hair masks that I purchased for damaged hair, one of the brands that I always reached for in order to get my hair back to its healthiest was Pantene, specifically products from the Moisture Renewal line. My mom and I have always been loyal Pantene customers, and I truly believe that it is one of the best brands the drugstore has to offer [or any store, for that matter].
When I found out that the brand was launching a new healthier hair, repair and protect line, my first thought was, “I wish this were around a few years ago!” Although my hair is basically back to normal, I have to wash it more that I would like to due to the fact that it is fine and tends to get oily rather quickly. I am really excited to try Pantene’s new repair and protect line because it claims to make hair healthier with every wash, so I won’t have to worry that washing more often will strip my hair or leave it feeling dry and brittle.
Have you tried any products from Pantene’s new repair and protect line? Let me know in the comments below!
