The Friday Catch-Up: Lace, Model Makeup + Grilled Cheese

Thank GOD it’s Friday! Never has a statement been more true – this week has been rough, to say the least. I really didn’t think I was going to get everything done that I needed to this past week, but I did, and it’s Friday, and I need a cocktail [Champagne, please!]. Before I get into my round-up of my favorite posts from this past week, I have to thank everyone who commented on my skin problems post! I mentioned on Instagram that I wound up choosing the Glamglow Mud Mask, which some of you recommended, and it worked wonders on my skin. It has cleared up so much since I started using it only a few days ago – so thank you again!

Style Notes: Kris, formerly Young Married Chic, has launched her new site, The Chic Wife! It is, as you could imagine, very chic. For her ‘Chic Styles’ post this week she featured a really affordable lace skirt that she paired with a classic button down top – a perfect summer outfit that can be dressed up or down. I am ordering the skirt as we speak . . .

Favorite Beauty Review: this week’s favorite beauty post comes from Emma of Milkteef, a beauty & fashion blogger that I am very happy to have discovered recently. In this particular post she provides a sneak peek of Charlotte Tilbury’s Supermodel Collection, which looks as dreamy as it sounds. If anyone needs ideas for birthday gifts, the Fallen Angel palette will most definitely be on my list 😉

Favorite Foodie: Do you guys like grilled cheese? Yeah, I thought so. Check out this Brie and Caramelized Onion Grilled Cheese from Chasing Delicious, which I will absolutely be making for Sunday brunch.

Something Extra: In addition to being a makeup junkie, I am also a lover of handbags. I recently found out about Gigi New York, a handbag company that offers free personalization – how cool is that?! Though I have not seen the handbags in person, I have read rave reviews boasting great quality. I have my eyes on you, acqua clutch.

This Week’s Posts: Check out my most favorite Sephora haul yet, and the best nude lipsticks at the drugstore!

Im so glad the Glam Glow mask worked out for you! Your post inspired me to ask readers for recommendations for a new moisturizer, I love the idea of that! I’m also thinking of purchasing the mask now… Does a little go a long way?

Glad the mask sorted your skin issues

Love this! I’ll make sure to try out the Glamglow Supermud mask because I’ve used Dr.Murad’s sulfur mask and it doesn’t do very much. Milkteef’s post on the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks was so helpful, thank you for recommending it!
