Fourth of July Makeup – 2 Ways

Happy Fourth of July! I hope that everyone is able to relax, and spend time with family and loved ones this weekend. For today’s post I want to share two different party-perfect Fourth of July makeup looks – both using the gorgeous Too Faced Neutral Eyeshadow Palette. The first is more smokey, more focused on the eyes, whereas the second is all about a slightly shimmery lid and a beautiful semi-glossy berry lip.

For the first look, sweep Nudie from the Neutral Eyeshadow Palette all over the lids, up to the crease with a fluffy brush [Mac 217 is my jam]. Next, sweep Cashmere Bunny in the crease, using a wind-screen wiper motion. Using a small smudge brush, apply Cashmere Bunny on the lower lash line as well. To smoke things out, take Chocolate Martini and apply to the outer-v, as well as on the outer corner of the lower lash line. For a bit of extra sparkle, get a bit of Honey Pot on your middle finger, and pat the shadow onto the center of your mobile lids. Finish the eye look with a slightly winged-out liquid liner, and lots of black mascara. Keep things neutral on the cheeks and lips with a pretty coral blush like Le Metier de Beaute’s Lip and Cheek Tint in Coral Nymph, and pinky-nude lip products like the Kardashian Nude Lip Pencil and Chantecaille’s Brilliant Lip Gloss in Lucky.

For the next look, keep things simple on the eyes and sweep Silk Teddy, a beautiful shimmering light pink over the lids, up to the crease. Pop a bit of this shadow onto the inner corners as well to really open up the eye area. To complete the eye look, add a couple of coats of mascara to top and bottom lashes. This look is really about gorgeous skin and a pretty pout, so get your favorite bronzer and highlighter ready. Using a good, matte bronzer like Jouer’s Mattifying Bronzer in Sunswept, lightly contour your cheeks using a C motion from your temples, to underneath your cheekbones. For glowing skin, use a cream highlighter like Revlon’s Photoready Skinlights and apply to the tops of cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and cupids bow. To complete the look apply a glossy berry lipstick – Nars’ Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in Baroque is just pefect.
