For a long time, I thought that lip liner should only be worn by older women; and maybe this is because I have read this in magazines. I didn’t think otherwise until Charlotte Tilbury came out with her stellar makeup line, and posted videos that featured her products. In almost every one, she used a beautiful lip liner to even-out and perfect her model’s lips.
What I’m saying is, to me, Charlotte Tilbury made lip liner cool; she made it an extra step that I wanted to start including in my makeup routine. Now, if I have a bit of extra time in the morning, or if I’m going out at night, I line my lips with a neutral shade before applying lipstick or gloss. Not only does this enhance the shape of my lips, it makes whatever I am wearing overtop last for much longer.
Though I don’t own Charlotte’s coveted lip liner shade Pillow Talk [don’t worry – it’s next on my list], I have acquired three alternatives that work beautifully with a pink or nude lip:
- Tarte Amizonian Clay Universal Lip Liner
- Nyx Retractable Lip Liner in Nude
- Nyx Lip Liner in Nude Pink
How often do you line your lips?
