Renea Kantrell loves supporting causes she cares about. She also loves lip gloss. So it was a no-brainer for her to develop a line of lip glosses where a portion of the sales are donated to different charities. Though Kantrell only launched her business this past October, she has already partnered with It’s The Journey, a nonprofit org that produces a 2-Day walk for breast cancer in Atlanta. This particular nonprofit motivated her to do more for nonprofit organizations, and was an inspiration for this gloss line.
Kantrell very kindly sent me two glosses – Faith, a peachy nude, and Hope, a shimmering girly pink. They remind me of old favorites from Nars, lip lacquers Baby Doll and Chelsea Girls [which are discontinued!], only I like this formula more as it is significantly less sticky. The Believe glosses are, for the most part, smooth and comfortable to wear, but they do have a slight tacky texture. I don’t mind this, because it means longer wear time.
These last a solid three hours on me – pretty good for a lip gloss. Lastly, as far as scent goes, it reminds me of Mac lip glasses – a very faint, pleasant vanilla. Definitely nothing offensive.
If you are still looking for gifts to give the makeup lovers in your life, consider snagging one of the Believe lip glosses and give a a sweet present while giving back!
