Left to right: Cream; Caramel; Pecan; Marzipan; Hazlenut
You guys know about the love I have for Bite Beauty – I have been using the brand’s lip products for a few years now, and have visited the lip lab in NYC not once, but twice! When I saw a promo image for these new hand-cut, butter cream lipsticks, I nearly drooled – gorgeous neutral shades with an ultra creamy formula – what more could a lipstick lover want?
After testing these guys out, I have to say that they live up to the claim of being the creamiest lipstick that bite has ever developed [and one of the creamiest out of any lipstick I own]. The flat surface does take a little getting used to, and may require the help of a mirror to achieve very precise application [especially for a couple of the darker colors], but still, I am hooked.
Like all of Bite’s products, the Butter Creams* are made with nourishing ingredients, like shea, almond, and pomegranate butter, and they have the same good-enough-to-eat smell and taste. As far as color pay-off goes, these nude shades have great pigmentation that lasts – my favorite of the five I tried are Caramel, a pretty, everyday nude that doesn’t wash me out, and Pecan, a deeper nude-pink. They impart a satin finish on the lips, and feel very comfortable – definitely one of the more moisturizing lipsticks I’ve encountered.
Lastly, a note on the packaging – I. Love. It. They feel slightly more compact than the standard Bite cases [a bit more sleek], and have a magnetic closure.
Have you tried any of the new Bite Butter Creams?
