Nars Must-Haves for Spring

Nars has always been one of my favorite makeup brands – the multiple in Portofino is one of the first products I ever owned. My favorite offerings from Nars, though, are all of the beautiful blushes and lip glosses [have always been a gloss girl at heart]. So when they came out with the Dual Intensity Blushes, I had no choice but to check them out – right? Right – especially after Faith and Ashlyn showed me their purchases.

I decided on Fervor because, come on, just look at that peachy-pink shade! The rose-copper shade is a beauty as well, and adds a gorgeous rosy-bronze glow to the cheeks; I can only imagine how nice this will look in the summer with a tan. I’ve worn the two shades dry mostly, and they have lasted all day [blush is usually the first thing to fade on my face]. Picking up the shades with a damp brush deepens their color, and makes them last a bit longer on skin.

My second Nars must-have for spring is a gloss that I picked up last year, Istria, a sheer baby pink with fine shimmer. It was a newly released color when the brand reformulated their lip gloss line, and is a permanent shade. Istria is a really easy color to wear, and is sheer, without being transparent or unnoticeable. The formula is really wonderful – it is decently long-lasting [for a gloss], and doesn’t feel sticky to me in the least. It was a favorite of mine all last summer, and I expect it to remain in my handbag for the next several months.

What are your favorite Nars products for spring and summer?

How do you use that dual intensity blush? Does it work like a contour where you do different parts of your cheekbones with the two colors?

Fervor was my favorite of the line, I also love Craving!

I usually stick with NARS Orgasm blush for Spring–it’s a perfect shade for that flushed/healthy glow. But, these dual blushes look tempting!
