Getting Glossy

Up until this past year, I was all about a matte, fully covered face. I wouldn’t go near really light coverage foundations, and would re-apply powder throughout the day like it was my job. Now, however, I’m like, give me all the dewy things, or give me death. Ok, maybe not exactly that, but yes – I have been loving products that add a natural, healthy glow.

Here are the products I’ve been loving to achieve a glow-y, natural look:

Tula Probiotic Skincare Exfoliating Treatment Mask* – I use this mask twice per week, or more, depending on how many long nights I’ve had that week. This mask does such a good job of exfoliating, without drying out my skin, and always leaves it looking brighter.

Youth To The People Age Prevention Firm and Brighten Serum* – this brightening serum hydrates my skin, never feels greasy, and does an awesome job of evening tone/eliminating redness.

Sunday Riley Juno* – I’ve been using this magical face oil for about a week, and holy moly, guys, I think it has already made a huge difference. I’ve endured a few pretty bad breakouts over the past few weeks, no doubt due to stress [bar exam struggles], and no matter what I did, the spots weren’t going away. I’ve been applying about 3 drops of Juno to my face, really massaging it in. I’m left with a serious glow, and my face has gotten much, much clearer. Win-win.

MAKE Custom Finish Effects Matte Dew* – this stuff is incredible. I’ve been using mainly the dewy pink side, and applying it generously to my cheekbones, brow bones, and cupids bow. It provides a gorgeous natural dewy effect – so perfect for days when you don’t want to go for a gold shimmer look.

Chanel Glossimer in 184 – I picked this gloss up recently, and though it is very sheer, I am still obsessed. Glossimers have a really smooth, comfortable formula, and add a beautiful shine to lips. This sheer pink is perfect for no makeup-makeup days, or for pairing with your favorite lipstick.

MAKE Face Gloss* – if I want to really go for the glow, I’ll dab a very small amount of this face gloss to the tops of my cheeks, and brow bones. I’ve also been loving how it looks when I apply a small amount to the center of my lips. It picks up the light so nicely, and photographs so, so well.

Formula X Sheer Strength Polish in Enduring – I have been loving sheer polishes this summer, and this sheer nude really takes the cake. It adds a beautiful shine, and lasted for over a week on me without chipping.

What are your favorite products for adding a glow to your look?

The Face Gloss seems like a cool product, I love Charlotte Tilbury Wodnerglow and Dior Glow primers

Like you I used to go all matte all the time, but the older I get the more I prefer the dewy look. Great combo of skincare and makeup suggestions in this post! Thanks too for introducing me to Youth to the People! I just checked out their site and the products look great!

I’ve heard amazing things about the Sunday Riley brand, and I’m so excited for my deluxe sample of the Luna oil to try it out soon (Sephora is amazing that way).
