On-The-Go Beauty: glo minerals Bridal Kit

I have been consistently impressed with everything I’ve tried from glo minerals – and the same goes for this on-the-go touch up kit.* Though it was created with brides in mind, I think that it is a perfect set for any beauty lover to have on hand during the summer.

The kit contains a translucent mineral powder, a retractable brush, a shimmer duo, a sheer, shimmering pink-beige gloss, a pink lipstick, and blotting papers.

Being a crazy lip product person, I think that my favorite items from the kit are the lipstick and lip gloss combo. Bella lipstick is such a pretty natural, yet brightening pink, with subtle golden shimmer. It has great color payoff, feels comfortable, and lasts between 4 and 5 hours without having to reapply. Pink Blossom lip gloss is stunning – and even if you aren’t a lip gloss person, I promise you, you’ll love the formula. It really feels more like a hydrating balm, not sticky or tacky in the least [if you are familiar with Lipstick Queen, it feels just like the Big Bang glosses]. It adds a lovely shine to the lips, and though it does contain quite a bit of shimmer, it provides more of a glisten/sheen to the lips, rather than looking like you’ve just slapped lots of glitter on. What I love most about these two, is how they look layered together – the perfect natural, not-too-glossy lip.

The travel-sized highlight duo is another really flattering product that has a really smooth, buttery texture. Though the kit does come with a brush, I find that these two apply and blend really well onto cheeks with a fingertip. Both shades add a golden sheen to cheekbones, and can also be used as eyeshadow. The lighter shade on the left works as a perfect inner-corner highlight.

Lastly, the blotting papers and translucent powder are two special event essentials. The blotting papers [the pack contains 100 sheets] work like magic to absorb oil, without disturbing makeup. I have used them on their own when I want to get rid of shine, but still have a natural glow. The translucent powder provides a slightly more matte finish, which is something that I find looks best in photos.

This kit is available on glo minerals’ website for $55, and would make a great gift for any bride to be or bridesmaid!

Have you tried anything from glo minerals?
