We’re into the last month of summer, you guys. With the bar exam behind me, I’m excited to spend more time actually enjoying the warm weather – and wearing my favorite beauty products outside of my apartment. Let’s get into it:
Chanel Glossimer in Bon Bon – this non-sticky gloss is a great lip product to have on hand. It is a sheer pale pink with golden shimmer that I think would look really flattering on any skin tone. I’ve been wearing it a ton on its own, or over a bunch of different lip colors [pinks, peaches, nudes – they all work].
13rushes – I’m so happy I connected with this line of cruelty-free brushes on Instagram – they are incredible. It’s obvious that a lot of thought went into the design of every aspect of the brushes; they are really light-weight, which I find makes them really easy to handle and use, and the bristles are so, so soft, and blend powder and cream products like a dream. Two of my current favorites are the Tapered Blending brush, which I’ve been using to apply and blend eyeshadow, and the Tapered Concealer brush, which I’ve been using to blend concealer underneath my eyes.
Colourpop Lippie Stix in Cookie – Cookie is a perfect, not too pale, not too brown nude-beige that I think works during any season. Despite being a matte finish, I find the formula to be very creamy and non-drying. Loveee pairing it with a pop of pink on cheeks, and a champagne shadow on lids.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Norma Jean – liquid gold, you guys. Liquid. Gold. This pale gold cream shadow really opens up the eye area, and is just so pretty for an easy, everyday summer makeup. It takes literally seconds to apply with a fingertip. I quickly blend it over my lids, and onto the inner corners of my eyes.
Sara Happ The Lip Slip – I’ve already went into detail about this uber hydrating glossy balm here, so I’ll just say, if your lips are in need of some help, or if you just want a really pretty sheer balm that will keep your lips moisturized + chap free all day, you must, must check this out.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal – this creamy gold-champagne highlighter has been my go-to as of late. It blends beautifully onto cheekbones, and adds the most beautiful glow without looking too shimmery or obvious.
Mac Blush in Style – this soft golden coral is summer, in powder form. I’ve worn it most days this month, as I find that it goes with everything from a more natural, no-makeup makeup, to a bronze smokey eye. It brightens up my face as soon as I apply it.
Urban Decay Naked Concealer – guys, I have finally found a creamy concealer that I love more than my standard L’Oreal True Match. This stuff conceals under-eye circles like no other – and it stays put all day long without creasing or fading. Its consistency is fairly liquid-y, but it definitely doesn’t slip around once you blend it in.
What have you been loving this past month?
