Do people still say “on fleek?” Or is there a new phrase that the kids are using these days? Either way, the above eyeshadow palettes are by favorites for fall; they are, as they say, on fleek.
One of the many reasons I look forward to fall is being able to wear a smokey eye all day, err day. Not that a daytime smokey eye isn’t acceptable in summer; but I think you guys know what I’m talking about – it just feels more appropriate to go full-on with shadow when you’re wearing a sweater and boots.
I do have quite a few favorite fall-toned eye palettes. Some are very old, tried and true, and others I’ve picked up very recently, and very quickly fell in love with. Here they are:
Tom Ford Cognac Sable – my OG fall/winter palette. For the ultimate brown smokey look. Also, looks incredible with all eye colors. #thatglittertho
Maybelline Blushed Nudes – for the rose gold lovers. A bit on the cooler side, but still great for creating a variety of looks. The bottom left shade is so, so good.
Urban Decay Naked Palette – I don’t know if I’ll ever love an Urban Decay palette more than this guy. The deeper bronze/brown shades are to die for.
Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita – the reddish-brown shade in this palette is incredible. I find it really brings out my eye color when I apply it in the crease, and on the lower lash line. Soooo good paired with a pink-nude lip.
Tanya Burr Fairy Tale Palette – a perfect everyday quad that can easily be taken from day to night. Love wearing the cream shade on lids and the medium brown in the crease for a daytime makeup, and smoking things out a bit with the Alohomora shade for evening.
H&M Aubergine Dream – for the cranberry lovers. I love this twist on a smokey eye – if you’re looking for a great tutorial using this beauty, look no further than Harry Makes It Up!
