The New Obsession

During several trips to Sephora, I have stopped at the Dior display, picked up a few of the Fluid Sticks, swatched them, but ultimately, when it came down to it, thought, I have similar colors; it’s not necessary.

I bit the bullet over the weekend, and came home with Whisper Beige, a really gorgeous, slightly orange-leaning, peachy-nude. And guys, I am so happy I did.

When I say you must really try this on to appreciate how stellar the formula is – I mean it. It is slightly more liquid-y than I had anticipated, but I don’t mind it [the cushion-y applicator makes applying the product easy, and quite pleasant]. Once it settles in, which only takes a couple of seconds, it provides a really pretty glossy sheen, and feels more like a balmy lipstick [totally non-sticky, to me].

Whisper Beige lasts around 3-4 hours on me, depending how much I eat/drink. This product is truly like nothing I own or have tried. I find it only a little comparable to the YSL Glossy Stains, however, I much prefer this formula in terms of how it looks and feels [less sticky, doesn’t go patchy with wear]. Again, speaking of how it looks [I could go on], I think it is really a perfecting lip product, in that it smooths over lines and cracks, making lips appear a bit fuller.

So, yeah. I am a full-on Fluid Stick lover. Are you? Let me know in the comments. I can’t wait to scoop up additional shades – I’ve got my eye on you, Versatile and Frisson.

I bought a few of the brighter colors when they first launched but I haven’t seen this gorgeous nude color!

Such a lovely colour! I haven’t tried any of these out yet, but the new Dior Addict Lipsticks are calling my name!
