I’ll be honest – I hadn’t tried anything from Ciate until I walked past a new display of Ciate x Olivia Palermo nail polishes in my local Sephora. The packages were so gorgeous, and the colors so spot-on [is the above not the most incredible deep berry of life?] that I couldn’t leave without one. Very luckily for me, a lovely package from the brand arrived at my apartment shortly thereafter.
First, more on the Olivia Palermo gel polish in Napa Valley. I’ve worn it almost every day for the past two months, and with good reason. It provides a beautiful shine, looks just as good as a salon gel manicure, and lasts for well over a week without chipping. The dark purple shade, Paparazzi, has also become a favorite of mine; though it isn’t a gel formula, it lasts just as long chip-free.
The Smoked Out Gel Kohl Liners are awesome, and you can’t go wrong with black and plum, especially for the fall and winter seasons. The formula is fairly creamy, so I can easily draw a clean line on my upper lash line without pulling my eyelid. The liner also sits well on my water line, and stays put for at least a few hours before wearing away. What I love most about these liners, though, is how they blend out. I’ll take the other end of the liner, or a Sigma pencil brush, and smoke the liner out on my upper and lower lids for a really quick evening look.
Lastly – these lipsticks tho. Can you even with these nude shades?! Because I can’t. From left to right we have Cashmere, a perfect caramel nude; Truffle, a pink-nude; and Praline, a deeper nude. I am crazy about all three colors [I think Praline may take the cake, though – such a good fall nude to pair with a pink gloss and smoked out black liner], and I really love the formula. It glides on, wears for around 4 hours without drying out my lips, and feels creamy + comfortable. Can’t leave out Velveteen, which I’m sure I’ll get a ton of use out of around the holiday season, as it is an incredible true velvety red.
Have you tried anything from Ciate? I’m dying to check out the Olivia Palermo shadow palette!
