2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Inspired Makeup

vs1-one

vs2-two

And back after maybe the longest hiatus ever [for me, at least]. Lots of personal things going on – including a few major obstacles. But, that’s alright; we must press on, and I believe that spending time to do things you enjoy [like this blog] will only make things better.

Back to this post – yes, Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show makeup. For some reason I become obsessed with learning the exact products that are used on the models each year. This usually proves difficult as I always find articles with conflicting information, or, that just offer very general descriptions [ie, “they used a beige shadow on the lids” or “they kept lips natural with a mauve tone”]. Luckily, though, Into The Gloss came through with direct quotes from lead makeup artist Dick Paige.

Unluckily, however, a few of the main products used were prototypes, aka, us common folk may not be able to get our hands on them. That’s alright, though – we can improvise.

First, a red cream blush was blended onto the cheeks, and dabbed onto the nose [this is all pre-foundation]. Love this technique for more of a natural flush, especially when using such a strong color. Eyes were seemingly kept uber neutral, save a bit of shimmery beige-brown shadow [I also read somewhere that the color had hints of green?], and a bit of black cream liner. Finishing touches included individual lashes, a mauve-rose lip, and VS Kissaholic Pink Gloss.

Now, I didn’t use ALL of the products shown above, but I wanted to provide options. It’s a very easy, everyday look – you know, everything I live for. If you too are inspired by the angels [and Dick Paige, of course], here’s what I’d recommend:

Make Up For Ever lashes. Glossier Boy Brow. Topshop Glow. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation. L’Oreal True Match Concealer. Charlotte Tilbury Colour of Youth. Burberry Eye Colour Cream in Gold Copper. Mac Patina eyeshadow. L’Oreal Black Gel Eyeliner. Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow. Rimmel East End Snob Lip Liner. Mac Patisserie Lipstick. L’Oreal Le Lacque in Choco-Lacque. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in Perfect.

How are you liking the L’Oreal Le Lacque? I’ve been tempted to grab the matte version but I’m so on the fence!!!!
