It’s no secret that I have a bit of a girl-crush on Gigi Hadid – girl is gorgeous. I am constantly inspired by her beauty looks. Scrolling through her Instagram, I think, “you love bronze eyes, I love bronze eyes! You love a nude lip, I love a nude lip!” And I was like OMG, are we the same person?! Maybe? No? Ok.
Anyway, one look stood out to me the other day [a look that I believe Patrick Ta created, as I saw it on his account first]. It’s all super bronzed, glow-y skin, a neutral eye, TONS of lashes, and a glossy [I mean, seriously glossy] nude lip. Maybe not so everyday, but I think you can still tone it down a bit to make it work [skip false lashes, don’t overdo the shimmer, blot the lip down slightly]. And hey, I did it, so I thought I’d share the products I used:
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow – this stuff tho. I feel like my complexion is much more smooth, and I can definitely see more of a golden glow peeking through my foundation when I apply this stuff first [all over my face].
Makeup For Ever Ultra HD Concealer – to conceal the massive under eye circles I’ve been sporting – this stuff covers it all without drying out/caking up.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze and Glow – used on the eyes, as well as on cheeks. Blend the bronze shade onto lids and in the crease, and pop the highlight shade onto inner corners of the eyes. Apply the bronze shade to hollows of cheeks at first, and then blend out with a fluffy brush for more of an all-over bronzed look [also applied to my temples, and across the bridge of my nose]. I also pretty generously applied the highlight to the tops of my cheekbones.
Tom Ford Frantic Pink Blush + Mac Dainty – I actually mixed these two to achieve the sort of pinky-peachy glow Gigi has in the photo – but it’s pretty subtle in terms of color, so I only added a bit of the mixture to the apples of my cheeks.
Maybelline Lash Sensational – after curling my lashes [once before mascara] I applied MANY coats of this stuff. Really, go nuts, I find it doesn’t clump up too badly if you apply in layers [apply one layer, wait to dry, apply another…etc]. I also heat up my curler with my blow dryer and curl again after having applied mascara [just be sure to check that the curler isn’t too hot – I’ve never hurt myself in the process *knocks on wood*].
Lorac Alter Ego Lip Gloss in Socialite – an uber nude, glossy gloss. I think that this shade looks strikingly similar to what she’s got on in the photo. These glosses are quickly becoming some of my favorites – pigmented, really glossy, long-lasting, non-sticky. Thumbs up.
Are you as obsessed with Gigi as I am? Please tell me I’m not alone…
