Really cannot believe we’re already well into February – doesn’t it seem like Christmas was only a few days ago? At any rate, taking a short break from insanity to share the things I have been really loving lately.
Crazy about glow-y things, as usual. More than ever, I’ve been into a luminous, dewy base [probably because my skin has been seriously dry – who else is suffering this winter?].
Hourglass Strobe Lighting Powder in Incandescent – super finely milled pearly-beige that adds a gorgeous natural glow. I apply this generously to my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, and cupid’s bow.
Rodial concealer – the perfect travel-friendly concealer that is creamy, non-drying, and has an awesome ability to blur imperfections. I’ve had this in my bag to spot-conceal on the go, as well as make sure my under eye area was in check.
Makeup For Ever Hydrating Primer – I feel like it’s hard to find a good primer – some are too slip-y (know what I mean?), or tacky, or just have a weird consistency. Not this guy. Sort of like a moisturizer-primer in one, that perfects skin, and provides a really lovely base for foundation [AND makes my makeup last considerably longer without fading].
Lorac Alter Ego Gloss in Socialite – a perfect creamy, pigmented nude gloss.
Maybelline Gel Eyeliner – this one has been a favorite of mine for years. Hands-down the best gel formula at the drugstore, and to me, is very comparable to Bobbi Brown’s. The black is uber black, the formula is really easy to work with, and it stays put. It’s also my favorite product to tight-line with.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow – I apply this golden beauty balm post-moisturizer + primer, pre-foundation. Not to be too redundant, but I can tell that my skin looks more radiant and golden whenever I apply this guy – which is why I have been applying it daily.
Le Metier de Beaute Lipstick in Palm Springs – another oldie but goodie. A stunning pale pink, long-lasting lipstick with golden shimmer running through it. I’m crazy about how it looks with Nars’ new Instant Crush lip gloss.
Le Metier de Beaute Creme Fresh Tint for Lips and Cheeks in Mystique – very similar to Palm Springs – a baby pink with golden shimmer. As I’ve said before, this is my favorite cream cheek product of allllll time. So blendable, and adds the prettiest sheen to cheeks.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Half Baked – this buttery golden shimmer has been my go-to for inner corner highlight. It does such a good job of opening up the eye area, and just looks so pretty.
Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Lovecraft – my perfect medium pink-mauve. I’ve read mixed reviews of this formula [that it’s too drying, gets patchy, etc], but I really love it. It’s definitely not moisturizing by any means, but if I add a bit of balm before applying, it doesn’t dry my lips out. It lasts a solid 5 hours on my lips before fading away, and I find that this particular shade makes my lips appear fuller.
