Going to be a Tom Ford Summer

Is there anything better than a Tom Ford Beauty summer collection? Well, according to the past two seasons: no, no there is not. The white packaging is perfection, and what’s inside is even better. I was very lucky to get to try a few pieces from Soleil, and guys, they do. not. disappoint.

Soleil Contouring Compact – this sleek compact is so good for on the go, especially if you’re planning a spring/summer vaca. The bronze, blush, and highlight shades are all very finely milled and blend onto skin really nicely. The bronzer has a tiny bit of golden shimmer [more of a sheen, not very detectable once applied], so I think it’s really nice to bronze up the face with, as opposed to using it as a contour shade. The blush is a gorgeous coral-pink that brightens up the face – and will look stunning with a tan. The highlight – which I think is my favorite part of the compact – is a shimmering pale gold that does a great job of picking up the light and accentuating cheek bones and the inner corners of eyes. Though it does contain a fair amount of shimmer, it is soooo fine so you won’t look like you dipped your face in glitter.

Bronzing Powders in Gold Dust and Terra – ahhh Tom Ford Bronzers. So beautiful, smooth, finely milled, and just perfect. Gold Dust is on the warmer side and has golden shimmer running throughout. I can imagine wearing this with a tan on a night out – it’s a stunner. Terra, on the other hand, is slightly cooler and shimmerless – aka, a really nice contour + bronzer in one. I’ve been wearing this shade a TON, basically everyday since it arrived. I’ve been sweeping it in the hollows of my cheekbones, on my temples, down the sides of my nose – everywhere. I’m obsessed.

Moisturecore Lip Colors in Mustique and Carriacou – these lipstick/balm hybrids are moisturizing, add a really nice pop of color to lips, add a velvety sheen, and are seriously the most perfect shades for spring/summer. Mustique is a pale, cool pinky-mauve, and Carriacou is a kind of dusty coral. I have had Carriacou in my handbag, and I’m guessing it will stay put there for the next several months. You guys I know I love neutrals, but I also loveeee peachy corals during the summer months. If you want to add a bit of brightness to your face without going for a really bold lipstick, Carriaucou is your guy.

Are you guys planning on picking anything up from the Tom Ford Soleil color collection?
