Gloss; Glow

I definitely post about glow-y products all the time, but I wanted to take things up a notch here today. If you want to live your glossiest life – shine and gloss in all the right places, without looking like a hot greasy mess.

For lips, I’ve got two faves here. Dior’s Lip Maximizer, which I find does actually plump up lips a bit [nothing major though, but, noticeable]. This is for those out there who want shine without the shimmer, or color. It gives the slightest hint of pink, while adding loads of shine – but never looks gloopy. I’ve been wearing this on its own a lot lately, or, overtop of any pinky lipstick. Not gonna lie I’ve also tapped a very small amount onto the tops of my cheekbones when I’m feeling extra. Next – Surratt Beauty’s Soigne – watch out, you guys. Shine, shimmer [never gritty glitter, tho], and the most gorgeous rose shade. This is a stunner, and catches the light so beautifully.

For cheeks, temples, bridge of the nose [anywhere, really], I’ve become re-obsessed with Glossier’s Haloscope in Quartz. Provides the most natural looking glow of life. I also love how you really can’t overdo it with this product, as opposed to most highlighters of the powder variety.

Let’s talk about eye gloss for a second. At first, I was weary, but – not anymore! Milk Makeup’s Eye Vinyl in Nude helps me to achieve the glossy lids of my dreams, without looking too editorial or messy. It may not be the best product if you’re going to be out in the hot sun all day, or, if you’re headed to the beach. But, a little brunch action? Night out? Yas. It adds a really pretty sheen to lids, but doesn’t feel thick or sticky on. I’ll apply on its own, or, overtop of one of my favorite shadows, like Burberry’s Gold Copper.

What are your favorite glow-y, glossy products? Have you experimented with glossy lids?
