If you’ve followed me for a while, you know I stick to the same sort of look: a nude/pink/peach lip, peachy-pink blush, highlight, a neutral shadow, lots of mascara, and [usually] a winged liner. It’s comfortable, and, what I think I look best in. Don’t get me wrong, I like to experiment with a vampy or bright pink lip every now and again but, for everyday, this is how you’ll find me.
I’ve been asked about winged liner before and all I’ll say is – practice makes perfect. Practice, and quality eyeliner. If you’re new to the game, try using a thin angled brush and dark eyeshadow. Wet the brush, and practice. Or, try a really good pencil – like one from Charlotte Tilbury. I find gel is easy to practice with as well; Bobbi Brown’s is the best, and Maybelline has great drugstore option. For liquid, Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner is incredible, as well as Tom Ford’s. I think that a brush, rather than a felt tip, keeps longer, and, is easier to work with.
To me, the secret to a glow-y, lit-from-within look is a cream blush, cream highlight combo. My favorite right now is Le Metier de Beaute Poppy or Coral Nymph + Glossier’s Haloscope in Moonstone or Quartz. #cheeksonfleek.
