Summer Love

I’ve definitely been gravitating towards a certain kind of “look” recently. Pretty much the kind of look I go for most of the time, only with an extra shot of shimmer and gloss for summer. An easy foundation that can be blended out with fingers (spf a bonus!), a shimmering, golden eye, a decently thick winged liner, pinky-coral-highlighted cheeks, and a seriously glossy lip. Toned down a bit for day (maybe not quite as much shimmer on the cheekies), and amped up for night (all. the. gloss).

Nars’ Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is new to me, which, now that I’ve used it, I can’t believe. Where was I?! The kind of coverage it provides – I’d say medium, breathable, and the right amount of glow – is sheer perfection. It blends in super fast using fingertips, and doesn’t get disturbed by any cream/powder products I apply overtop. I’ll wait a few weeks before I dub this the best foundation I have ever come across – still have to see how it fairs during a long day in the sun.

Other stand-outs? The Becca x Chrissy palette, no doubt. I really, really love the warm-toned bronzer in here – I think it looks more natural on my skin tone than anything of the cool variety. All of the shades blend like a dream, and the rose gold highlighter is out of this world. I am crazy about how it looks both on the tops of my cheek bones, and tapped onto the center of my eyelids for a wide-eyed look.

Two more mentions here. The Stila Heaven’s Hue Highlighter in Transcendence is stunning, and provides the most beautiful effect when applied on the cheekbones and inner corners of the eyes. Makes things pop, while looking a bit more interesting than you’re average golden highlight. Lastly, we need to take a second (or several minutes) to appreciate the beauty that is the Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Creme Lip Gloss in Pink Pearl. Holy pretty. At first I thought it would be too much – too shimmery, too pink, too glossy. Etc. LIKE THERE ARE SUCH THINGS. This multidimensional pink gloss with red and pink shimmer looks insane on its own, or overtop of a pink or nude lipstick (like Milk Makeup’s C.R.E.A.M, above). Please go out and swatch it in person – I am not sure any photo will do it justice.

Andddd that’s all for tonight. What products have you been incorporating into your everyday look?
